What a great start to the year!!

Looking for a few things...Just wondering if anyone has an old typewriter (working condition) or a 32" TV (approximate size) that they would be willing to give away or sell for cheap... we have a member who is looking for those items.

Our BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH for Kindergarten through 5th grades will be THIS Wednesday night in the Children's Worship Area at 7 pm!! Kids and teachers will gather for a time of fun, food, and FUN!!

Praying for our students, teachers, and parents as the school year begins. Come celebrate this new beginning with us this Sunday @ 4pm. We will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. We ask you to bring side dishes, chips, and desserts. We will begin our day at 4:00 p.m. Inflatables will be provided for the kids and we will eat around 4:45 p.m. Following this meal, we will have a time of devotional as well as a preview of the upcoming fall happenings here at Kingwood.

Join us Wednesday nights in August for a "Life on Life" Discipleship Workshop. On August 7, 14, 21, & 28 we will meet in Fellowship Hall 1-2 with representatives from The Timothy Network who will challenge us with the core mission that Jesus left the church-DISCIPLE MAKING.

One of the ways we live out our mission to care for one another at Kingwood is our Lifelinks Small Groups. Explore our group options at the Meet & Greet this Sunday, August 11th, during our coffee fellowship time after worship. Groups begin Sunday, August 18th.

This Sunday is Promotion Sunday. Take your child to their new class. New check-in tags have been created for 2nd Grade and younger.

Join us this Wednesday night @ 7pm for our Summer Series speaker, Mark McInteer. We are excited to have Mark, preaching minister at the Hillsboro congregation, back with us this Summer.

Upcoming Kingwood 6th Graders and their parents are invited to join us for a special snack and presentation in the Children’s Worship Area at 7pm. Following the presentation, the Kingwood Student Ministry will come get the new 6th graders and their parents and head to the teen room to continue celebrating the transition to the youth group!

We continue our Summer Series this Wednesday @ 7pm with Earl Lavender, Director of Missional Studies at Lipsomb University.

Our team has made it safely to Honduras. Continue to keep them in your prayers as they partner with Mission Lazarus in their mission to cultivate dignity and purpose in communities in Honduras and Haiti so individuals can live better lives now and for eternity.

Are you looking for a place for your child to learn and interact with other kids his or her age this fall??! Are you looking for a few hours to yourself during the week??! If so, King's Kids could be the answer for you! Kingwood's Parent's Day Out Program is gearing up to start back in August!! We follow a set curriculum 🖍📚, have bible ✝️ class every day, learn how to play with our friends ❤️, and have a BLAST!!! We have openings, but spaces are limited. Burnette Chapel Church of Christ has been a faithful witness in the midst of tragedy. Join us tonight to hear their preacher, Joey Spann, bring a message. And don't forget it's a Camp Kaio work night in the Fellowship Hall for those who want to help us do lots of cutting out, prepping, and putting together of decorations!

Sunday Night Connect begins this evening at 5:00p.m. Due to some AC issues in the fellowship hall, we will meet in the auditorium this evening. Come hear a story of Jesus followed by how God is working through the lives of the Camp family.

Thanks to everyone for giving to our Bugs and Burns collection for Journey Home! We collected a total of 50 Sunscreens and and 122 Bug Sprays. (Remember it's often the little things we take for granted.)

As a follow up to our Dementia-Friendly Church Seminar, Senior Helpers will be hosting a community seminar at Kingwood on four consecutive Tuesday nights from May 28-June 18. The seminar is called Aging With A Plan: A Road Map To Successful Aging. This seminar will help prepare individuals and families to have a plan for their later years and is such a needed resource. We are thrilled to partner with Senior Helpers and hope that each of you will join us and invite others along!

Supper with Santa is Sunday Night, December 3rd. Following our 5pm devotional, we will have a meal in the fellowship hall. Sub sandwiches provided. Sign up at the welcome center for soups, chips, 2liters, and set-up & clean-up. Don't forget the Cookie Bake-off!!! 🍪 And of course, Santa 🎅🏼 & Mrs. Claus 🤶🏻 will be there, so bring your cameras.
